WHY?
The close proximity to Calais makes Lille an ideal location for teachers wishing for a shorter introduction to France with younger pupils. Nearby Ypres offers the opportunity to dip in to some history at the moving Last Post Ceremony at Menin Gate without impacting language activities during the day and a further bonus is the Christmas Market, providing an additional focus to a tour.
