Sample Three Day Tour - Modern Languages (Lille)
We are committed to creating an itinerary which will enthuse pupils and encourage a positive outlook towards the country they are studying. All of our modern languages tours can include lessons, workstudies and practical tasks promoting the use of the target language wherever possible.
Day 1
Depart school on executive coach. Coffee making, DVD and toilet facilities on board. Shuttle crossing to France and a chance to visit:
- a chocolaterie for a guided visit
- the old part of Boulogne to complete a town trail.
Onward journey to Lille and arrival at our accommodation.
Evening meal.
Talk on fire procedure.
Day 2
After our breakfast and French lesson, we will transfer to a gaufrerie for tasting and an explanation of the production.
Lunch and transfer to the Resistance Museum in Lille. We shall also visit De Gaulle’s birthplace and museum.
Evening meal in Ypres and visit to the Menin Gate for the Last Post ceremony at 20:00.
Return to the hotel.
Day 3
Breakfast and depart hotel for a local market.
Time permitting, visit to the British Cemetery at Tyne Cot.
Return journey to the U.K. with arrival back at school at approximately 18:00
