Sample Three Day Tour - History (Normandy)
Day 1
Depart on executive coach. DVD and toilet facilities on board. Tunnel crossing to France.
Arrival at the Mémorial at Caen for a visit at 16:00. (or earlier if good travelling time)Early evening arrival at our accommodation where the group will also meet the Tour Director and evening meal. Our children will be in 2/4 bedded rooms, all in single beds. There will also be a talk on fire procedures this evening.
Day 2
After our breakfast, the group will start with a visit toMerville Battery Museum. From here, it is on to Pegasus Bridge for a guided tour. An ex - RAF serviceman will talk about the extraordinary story of the gliders and how they were so important to the success of the Allied Invasion.
The group will then drive to Arromanches,site of Mulberry Harbour andGold Beach.
There will then be an opportunity to visit the360 Cinema.
The group will head for theBritish Cemetery at Bayeux where there will be a guided visit and finally, we will transfer to theAmerican Military Cemetery near Omaha.
Evening meal and return to the accommodation - barbeque or a typical Norman meal.
Day 3
Breakfast and departure for departure for La Coupole visit.
Onward journey, shuttle crossing and picnic lunch. Arrival at school.
