Sample Five Day Tour - Modern Languages (Madrid)
We are committed to creating an itinerary which will enthuse pupils and encourage a positive outlook towards the country they are studying. All of our modern languages tours can include lessons, workstudies and practical tasks promoting the use of the target language wherever possible.
Day 1
Depart school for the transfer to the airport and flight for Madrid.
Arrival in Madrid and transfer to our accommodation. All students will be in single beds. Evening meal.
Day 2
Breakfast, Spanish lesson and transfer to the centre of Madrid.
Pupils will order chocolate con churros in Spanish.
There will then be visits to the Museo del Prado, Reina Sofia, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Real, Puerta del Sol, and the Retiro Park. We shall also visit a large food market just off the Gran Via.
There may be time to visit the Palacio Real del Pardo – Franco’s official residence.
Return to the accommodation for our evening meal : paella
Day 3
After our breakfast and Spanish lesson, the group will depart forthe Bernabeu stadium.
Lunch and transfer to a water park.
Evening meal ordering traditional tapas – pupils will need to speak Spanish.
Day 4
After our breakfast, the group will leave for Segovia. We will walk to see the Roman Aqueduct before visiting the Alcazar.
We will then spend some time walking in the pedestrian area of the Calle Real and complete a questionnaire.
After a late lunch, we will head back to Madrid stopping en route at the Valle de los Caidos.
Return to the hotel for supper.
Day 5
Breakfast, Spanish lesson and onward transfer to Warner Theme Park.
Evening meal at the hotel.
Day 6
Transfer to the airport and return. Arrival at school.
