Sample Five Day Tour - Science (Paris)
Day 1
Depart school on executive coach. Coffee making, DVD and toilet facilities on board.
Shuttle crossing to France and onward journey to Paris stopping at the Musée de L’Air et de L’Espace. The group will be able to trace the history of space exploration and view various rockets/shuttles such as V2 and Ariane/Apollo and Voyager as well as see some of the very first planes to fly, former and modern day fighter planes and prototypes.
Evening meal at our accommodation. All children will be in en suite rooms.

Day 2
Breakfast and transfer to the centre of Paris where we will visit a selection of cultural, scientific and mathematical insitutions:
- The Louis Pasteur Museum for an insight into the life and work of this famous scientist.
- The Palais de la Découverte, a showcase for basic and contemporary science in the shape of interactive experiments. Astronomy, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics. Sciences of the earth are illustrated. New: the Electrostatic exhibition, the Sun room.
- The Galerie de L’Evolution
Our evening meal will be in Paris and then we will head for a cruise along the Seine in a Bateau Mouche.
Day 3
After breakfast, the group will go the The huge Cité des Sciences et de L’Industrie. There will be a full morning visit looking at the various exhibitions, the Planetarium and there will be several guided talks.
After lunch, we will transfer to the Stade De France for a guided tour. This will include the tunnel, the V.I.P. suite, the changing rooms and Zidane’s locker!
We will then head into Versailles and supper at a family-run crêperie in the cobbled area. The restaurant is very old and the pupils will be able to watch the pancakes being made. Staff will have the opportunity to test their own skills too!
The group will then transfer to Paris for an evening ascent of the Montparnasse Tower. Pupils will have the opportunity to ascend to the top floor and this has proved to be an exciting adventure for all involved!
Following the Montparnasse Tower, there will be a tour of Paris by night, visiting the main areas such as the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysées, the Invalides, Louvre, Opéra for the pupils to see the lights and enjoy the atmosphere.
Day 4
Breakfast and transfer to Asterix Park for a day visit.
Picnic lunch in the park.
Evening meal at the hotel
Day 5
Breakfast and departure for chocolate factory.
Shuttle crossing and picnic lunch.
Arrival back at school at approximately 22:00
