Sample Five Day Itinerary - Art (Rome)

We are committed to creating an itinerary which will enthuse pupils and encourage a positive outlook towards the country they are studying. All of our modern languages tours can include lessons, workstudies and practical tasks promoting the use of the target language wherever possible.

Day 1
Depart school and international flight to Rome. Arrival and introductory session by the Tour Director. Guided tour of the Catacombs.

Day 2
After breakfast, we shall head for the Vatican City with the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peters’ Square. The Tour Director will remain with the group as the pupils discover each venue.

Evening meal and excursion tothe Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps

Day 3

After breakfast, the group will visit important Roman sites throughout the city:

The Coloseum, The Forum, Pantheon, Domus Aurea, Via del Corso,

Evening meal and excursion tothe Time Elevator, an interactive experience which will transport us back to the times of Romulus and Remus and take us on a fascinating journey of the development of Rome.

Day  4
In the morning the group will transfer to Pompeii, where they will spend the morning exploring this well-preserved town, and learning about the people who lived here. Highlights of the day will be: the forum, the basilica, the Stabian Baths, the Temple of Jupiter, the House of Vetti and the commercial Via dell’ Abbondanza.  

The group will travel past Vesuvius to Herculaneum, a much smaller, but if anything better preserved settlement than Pompeii, where they will spend the afternoon, discovering, amongst other things, the secrets of ancient ‘fast food’ outlets!

Return to Rome.

Day Five
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for the return journey to the U.K.
